Every install is really two kinds of pieces

A focal piece is the arch behind your sweetheart table or the number everyone photographs. An ambient piece fills the room quietly, so it works in the background of every photo without stealing the shot.

Focal pieces

The arch, the marquee, the backdrop your guests walk up to on purpose. Organic garlands mix balloon sizes from 5" to 24" in an irregular, cloud-like line rather than a uniform pattern, which is what gives them that soft, non-uniform look. A balloon wall or backdrop tends to become the spot where people take their own photos all night, whether you planned it as a step-and-repeat or not.

Ambient pieces

A ceiling cluster, a staircase garland, a smaller grouping near the entrance. These use simpler balloon groupings and fewer of them, so they add coverage to the room without adding much to the cost. Most events land somewhere in between, one or two focal pieces, filled out with a bit of ambient texture elsewhere in the venue.

Book earlier than feels necessary

Spring is engagement season and summer weekends fill up fast with sweet sixteens, so the good Saturday dates go first. Standard installs do fine with four to eight weeks of notice; Saturdays, milestone celebrations, and more elaborate custom builds are better with two to three months, so there's time to design, source specialty balloons, and lock in the install date. Later requests can sometimes still be worked in if the schedule allows.

Why the room dictates the design

HVAC vents and open windows move air, and moving air shifts a lightweight garland out of place, which often points us toward a freestanding arch or a heavier, ceiling-anchored build instead. A standard arch needs roughly 2 to 3 feet of clear depth around its base beyond the width of the arch itself, and that footprint shifts with weighted bases, nearby furniture, doorways, and how much guest traffic is moving through. Outdoor and patio setups add wind and Texas heat to the list, and anything above roughly 90°F will soften latex and shorten how long it holds its shape. A walkthrough, along with photos and measurements, is how we land on a design that actually fits the room instead of guessing.

What actually moves the price

Three things drive most of the cost: how much ground the install covers, the type of balloon used, and the labor it takes to set up and take back down.

A standard, professionally installed indoor engagement setup usually starts in this range, depending on size, design, venue, and customization. More elaborate builds, backdrops, specialty balloons, signage, florals, or multiple décor areas, move the number up from there. Every event gets its own proposal.

How installation day actually runs

The schedule is built backward from your event start time, not forward from whenever we happen to arrive.
First

On-site setup

Most installs take one to three hours. Larger builds, custom structures, or tricky venue access can add time, and if a venue only allows a set turnover window, that window decides when we start.
Then

Cleared before guests arrive

Everything is finished with room to spare, so the venue still has time for its own final touches and any photography before the room opens.
After

Same-night removal

Most venue contracts require full removal that night. We do our own takedown and a final walkthrough on the spot, so nothing gets left for you or the venue to find later.

How much venue access do you actually need?

In most cases, arches, columns, and smaller garlands can go up within a few hours once the design is finalized ahead of time. Larger, multi-piece rooms need more lead time, so if your venue has tight access, flag it during planning rather than on install day.
Does Dallas heat make an outdoor install harder?

Standard latex softens above roughly 90°F and won't hold its shape as long outside as it does indoors. Outdoor Dallas installs usually need shade, a shorter display window, or heat-resistant balloon choices to look right for the whole event.
What's the difference between a full install and a DIY kit?

A fully installed piece is designed, delivered, and set up on-site, with takedown handled after. A DIY kit ships you the balloons and instructions, and you build it yourself, which costs less but takes your own time and a steady hand.
Can you match our exact sweet sixteen theme color?

Balloon colors come from a manufacturer's standard palette, so an exact custom Pantone match usually isn't possible. Most theme colors, neon, pastel, metallic, jewel tone, have a close standard equivalent that reads the same in photos.
Do you handle takedown, or is that on us?

We handle full takedown and disposal the same night as part of the service. That's worth confirming with any vendor before you sign, since not every company includes it.
